America's Cardroom is gearing up for its upcoming Online Super Series of Poker this year with a warm-up tournament taking place Thanksgiving night that boasts a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Thanksgiving guests at America's Cardroom this year may find themselves stuffed with more than turkey. They may round out the holiday sharing in a $25,000 pot. It's all in preparation for the Online Super Series, aka ACROSS (America's Card Room Online Super Series) starting the following week.
The $25,000 Thanksgiving Warm Up happens at 9 pm on Thanksgiving itself, tomorrow, Thursday, November 24, 2011. It has a direct buy-in of $50 + $5 and allows one rebuy and one add-on. Players can skirt this buy-in, however, by winning one of the many Thanksgiving Warm-Up satellite tournaments running multiple times daily from Saturday, November 19 through today, Wednesday, November 23 and hourly on Thanksgiving day tomorrow starting at 12 midnight. All of these satellites are turbo events and allow at least one rebuy and add-on, if not more. Buy-ins are either $2 + $0.20, $3 + $0.30, or $5 + $0.50.
Every player who sits in at the Thanksgiving Online Super Series Warm-Up $25K GTD tournament will also receive, as a thank-you bonus just for showing up, an additional 500 point-boost to apply toward the upcoming Online Super Series of Poker's points race leaderboard.
The Online Super Series of Poker takes place at America's Cardroom from November 29 through December 4. It features $150,000 guaranteed in cash and prizes, including a main event with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.
