The majority of future bets are using Moneyline bets. What this means is the bettor is betting the amount he/she can gain from a $100 wager. An example would be, if you thought the Cleveland Browns were going to win the Super Bowl, and their Moneyline is +650, if you place the bet you will risk $100 to win $ 650. You do not have to bet $100, but no matter what you wager, the payout will change according to your wager.

 

Many avid sports bettor have betting strategies on making future bets. It is extremely tough at times to make future bets, because there are so many variables. Will the best player be healthy all year? Will the team make a trade? The best advice on a future bet would be to find a bet that you feel is worth the risk you are taking. A lot of times you will see a handicapper make a team such a huge favorite that the bet may not be worth the risk. When looking at total wins, do your research. It's like bargain shopping.
