Blackjack – Rules of the Game

Blackjack is by far one of the most popular games offered not only by traditional casinos but online casinos as well. If you’re making plans to play blackjack or just simply learning how to improve your game, then you definitely have come to the right place. This article will provide you with practical information you can most likely use while playing blackjack. Perhaps, it would be wise to understand the rules of the game prior to participating in the actual play. Learning the rules of the blackjack will definitely be to your advantage.

Blackjack Rules – Choose the Right Table
Before playing blackjack, it is relatively important for you to choose the right table. What are the criteria for the right table? Well, you should choose a table that clearly presents their rules, their payout percentages as well as the betting options. It is imperative for you to keep in mind that blackjack tables offer a wide range of betting options; choose the option that is suitable to your capacity. For beginners, it is better to play in a 3:2 blackjack than playing the complex 6:5 blackjack. It is advantageous to the beginner’s part if he/she plays the “shoe games” or the game playing with more than 6 decks. However, this kind of game is quite advantageous to the house since the player’s cards are dealt faced up. In this manner, each player can effectively plan the next move and increase the chances of winning. If you have already mastered the art of blackjack, you move to a game with fewer decks; the fewer decks, the better.

Blackjack Rules – How to Make Your Bet
Betting is one of the most important aspects of the game of blackjack. Since we are dealing with money, it is important that each player must understand how to make a bet, especially if you’re going to play in an actual table. Initially, each player will have to make the first bet. Remember that you cannot touch your bet after you have placed it on the table. If you want to recount your bet, the dealer will do the counting for you. In stacking your chips, since you’re going to exchange your money for chips, you have to place the larger amount on the bottom of the stack and place the smaller values on top. In the event of winning, the dealer will place the winner’s money adjacent to his previous bet. If the player wants to ride his winnings, then he must stack his color-coded chips as one.

Blackjack Rules – Card Counting
The basic goal of blackjack is to make a hand with a value that is closer to 21. The hand value must be closer to 21 than that of the dealer. Keep in mind that you’re playing against the dealer and not against the other players. That’s why; it is important that you study the moves of the dealer very well. But before that, you need to learn how to identify the value of each card in order to make a concise value and win.

An ace is worth either 1 or 11. On the other hand, 2 to 10 cards equal their face value while the face cards are equivalent to 10. How can you complete the value of 21? Well, determining the value of your cards is definitely easy. You just need a strong memory and basics in simple addition. For instance, you have one ace, a four and a seven. If you add the three cards, they are worth 21.
