Today sees the start of a new William Hill Poker promotion called the Golden Handshake, in which its cash game players will vie for a share of a $50,000 prize pool. And tournament players won’t be left out either.
How much is a handshake worth to you? To William Hill it’s worth $50,000 apparently, as that’s the prize pool on offer for its latest promotion for its cash game and tournament players, the aptly named Golden Handshake.
In the William Hill Poker Golden Handshake promotion, every 25,000th cash game hand dealt after Monday, October 29 at 00:00 GMT will be declared a Golden Hand with a bonus awarded to all players in that hand. With about 50,000 hands dealt every hour, WilliamHill estimates there will be one bonus awarded every 1/2 hour for the next two weeks. The William Hill Poker Golden Handshake promotion runs through Monday, November 11.
There’s a $50 bonus up for grabs at every golden hand, with the winner of every golden hand getting the largest share of the bonus: $25, while all the players dealt cards in the hand share another $25 bonus (and that includes the winner).
To make it easy on players, William Hill Poker started counting golden hands with the first hand to end in 25,000 exactly (e.g. 2,534,625,000). That way, you need only look at the last 5 digits of the last hand dealt at any time to know how far or close you are to the next golden hand dealt. Total prize pool for cash game players: $30,000.
Tournament players share the remaining $20,000 in Daily Added Value Tournaments taking place at 18:00 GMT every night of the promotion, with $500 to $3,000 added to the prize pools.
