William Hill has signed a new deal with in-play betting product Passoker to provide the product to its members on the William Hill Sports betting and William Hill Racebook sites.
Starting this month, William Hill Sportsbook and William Hill Racebook will soon be offering Passoker in-play betting, following a new deal signed this past week.
Passoker combines card games with in-play betting to blend what aims to be the best of both worlds to sports and poker fans. This makes live event watching even more exciting by giving players a stake in more than just the outcome of live sporting or horseracing event as they’re watching it all take place. It can even be played on live tennis and cricket matches.
Here’s how it works: players first select the event they’re interested in, of course, as well as the stakes they want to bring with them to the in-play gaming table. Passoker then randomly assigns players to tables of 10 players each and starts playing a game in which each player is dealt a single card, at random, containing an event that may occur in the game (e.g. goals, offside, corners, free-throws or free-kicks). Whoever holds a card representing an action that takes place in the game wins a point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins the stakes of the other players at the table.
British company William Hill operates both land-based and online gambling establishments. Passoker was launched by a group of people that includes a former British footballer.
