HORSE Poker Strategy
HORSE is probably the most skill based poker game around. This game entails multiple different poker games that the player has to be gifted in, in order to do well. There are a lot of players who play HORSE that don’t have a proper HORSE poker strategy. You truly need to be prepared if you are going to play HORSE. It is a very tough, yet profitable game if you apply your strategy well. Tons of players over rate their play ability and HORSE is a great game to take advantage of that. By becoming a HORSE pro you will dominate these players and all of the fish that you see on the tables.
1. Play Tight – In every one of the games that you play you need to make sure that you are playing tight. Your opponents are surely going to screw up majorly in one situation or another so you might as well play tight and wait to be the player that takes advantage of it with a strong hand. You should loosen up a bit more in the games that you are strongest in. This is to make up for how tight you are playing in the other games. For example, if you mainly study holdem then you should probably play a bit looser than normal to make up for how tight you are in the other games.
2. Play Aggressive – You want to have the ability to take pots down without going to showdown. You can do this very easily by playing aggressive. When you play aggressive you give yourself the opportunity to win the pot by making your opponent fold. When you are the aggressor you have control of the pot and are ultimately the one deciding what happens. If your opponents start showing resistance realize they have a strong hand and let it go.
3. Focus On Your Games – Make sure that you put extra study time into two of the games at a time and keep a solid schedule of this routine. This is a great way to improve your skill level in each game which will ultimately increase your skill level in HORSE. All players are skilled differently in each game and face this dilemma so you can read up on a lot of other HORSE strategy articles as well. Make sure that you are putting a lot of time into education if you are going to play a game as difficult as HORSE.
4. Eliminate Bluffing – A great tactic to add to your arsenal is a no bluff policy. Since you are playing different games you want to make sure that you are always focusing on the correct play. When you eliminate bluffing you eliminate a lot of the stupid money that gets thrown away in bad steal attempts. You normally wont make too much off of it anyway. By eliminating bluffing you will not only get better in each respective game, but you will also save yourself money which will increase your win rate.
