Turbo tournament Sit and go

Turbo tournament Sit and Go have a lot of variance and you should stay away from them without a proper bankroll. You can play ten tournaments and not get one cash. So, the best way to go about the turbo style of tournament is to play passive at the start then more aggressive towards the end. Meaning, at the beginning of the tournament you should stay away from the small connecting hands and only play smaller pairs if you can limp in to the pot. Getting stuck early in this style of tournament is something that you want to avoid so cut down your selection of hands to bigger pairs and AK/AQ.
As the middle stage of the turbo tournament rapidly approaches you should still have a tighter range of hands, but this is the time to start looking for spots to move all your chips in the pot. The main goal is to win the tournament and without a chip stack you cannot win it. So, if you can start to put pressure on the blinds from the button or cutoff position possibly by a shove all-in you can collect dead money. Also a good spot to shove in is when you see one or two limpers in a pot and you have say 14 or 15 big blinds left. This is a key spot in turbo tournaments that very few players see. Using this perspective you can exploit the limpers for wanting to see a cheap flop, and you have enough chips in front of you to price them out of making the all-in call.
As the later stage of the tournament approaches this is where luck will finally come in to play and more times than not you will bust from the tournament. But, to put the odds in your favor you should be taking more chances and moving your stack in. Most players will say that they gamble a lot more at the later stage of the tournament and this is true. But, a lot of players are still sitting and waiting for big hands. If you can pick up the pots that nobody wants in a turbo you will be increasing your stack a great deal with little risk. When you do get called by a hand and possibly lose the pot it is virtually getting you back to what you would have had if you were playing tight. So, you have to loosen up your game and gamble a lot, but in order to win these it is no secret that you need luck on your side. You can’t win every one of these that you play, but you can stack the odds in your favor to make consistent deep runs in them. When you do stack the odds in your favor the game is definitely easier to beat, and even though this game has a high variance you will be winning more times than you lose. If you do hit a rough patch playing turbo tournaments where you do get picked off a ton of times, that will happen, but you have to gamble to win so the reward out ways the risk of the play.
