Strategies in Playing Baccarat
One of the easiest games to play in any casino whether they are land based or in the internet is Baccarat. Baccarat was first introduced in the gambling world in the 1400’s and due to its widespread fame; there are many variants of the game as well. There is the Chemin de Fer that originated in France, Punto Banco in Cuba, and European Baccarat that came from the British Isles. Of course, it depends on the type of Baccarat that you wish to play that you have to learn the rules to come up with your own
baccarat strategy.
Understanding the Basic
Baccarat isn’t the same as poker where deep strategy is needed. You need to understand first the basics of the game and that includes the rules of the game as well as the terms used and the value of each cards. Strategy is also employed whenever you place your bet. In Baccarat you have three choices. You can bet on your own hand, bet on the banker’s hand or bet for a tie. Professional Baccarat players often choose the first two betting options since the odds in betting for a tie is 8 to 1. This means that the odds of hitting a tie are very slim which is why most players often settle for the first two.
The odds for the first two bets are more on the side of the players where the odds for the banker is equal to 1.06% while for the player is 1.24%. This means that there is a larger percentage for a player to win in each round. You might think that placing your bets on the banker may be good for you; however it is important to bear in mind that the casino takes away a percent of the bets which is about 5%. Still the chances of the banker winning the hand are bigger than your hand.
1 – 3 – 2 – 6 Betting System
Most Baccarat players use the betting system of 1 – 3 – 2- 6. This system provides you with the opportunity of betting only two units with a return of ten units. One unit is equal to your first bet. When you win the hand you only need to add another unit to get the equivalent of three units. The three units are these: your first bet, your winnings and your additional bet. When in the next round you still won the hand you already have a total of six units. Remove four of the units leaving you two units for your third bet. Once you win the hand, add two more units for a total of six units for your next bet. If you are still lucky and you win the next round your winnings will be a total of 12 units which is ten units more than your first bet.
The Martingale System is yet another strategy that you can use in Baccarat. The goal here is simple and that is to win a unit each hand. This means that you bet one unit and when you win remove your winnings and bet yet another unit. If in the off chance that you lose, make your second bet into two units to match your loss before.
These are only some of the strategies that you can use when playing Baccarat. Of course, each player has their own style and strategy so it is best that you make your own where you can be comfortable. Baccarat is easy enough to understand and when you have succeeded in developing your strategy you will definitely be raking in your winnings in no time.
