The weeks of rumors and speculating have come to a head with a recent announcement that the next entertainer to sign up for a long-term contract to headline a show at a Caesar’s Las Vegas resort may be Britney Spears.

Caesar’s Entertainment has announced that the newest entertainer to be featured in an ongoing show at one of their Las Vegas resorts may be pop diva Britney Spears, if they can iron out a mutually equitable long-term contract.

If it works out as planned, Britney Spears would have what they call a headlining residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Planet Hollywood is just one of the properties owned by Caesar’s Entertainment in Las Vegas. Others include Caesar’s Palace where Celine Dion has a 3-year deal worth a reported $100 million to perform. Elton John is playing long-term at The Coliseum at Caesars Palace. And Shania Twain is performing Caesar’s Palace right now as well. Over at Planet Hollywood, meanwhile, is Cee Lo Green. Other singers who have had such headlining acts in Caesars properties in the past include Bette Midler and Cher.

Spears, aka “Brit Brit”, (31 years old) who announced in January that she’s not returning to the TV singing contest show “X Factor” as a judge so she can focus more on her music, fed the fire on these rumors over Twitter by using a hashtag “Viva Las Vegas”, while her managed also confirmed that they expect a deal to be cut with Caesar’s quite soon.
