Basic Strategies for Roulette

Roulette is a popular casino game that is played by choosing numbers or spots to bet on and waiting for the wheel to stop spinning to see where the ball will land. If it lands on your spot, you win. Sounds simple enough but you could easily lose all your chips in this game if you don’t know how to place your bets.

Roulette strategies are more based on the betting systems incorporated within the game rules; instead of on one’s playing skills. By understanding each betting spot that can be found on the Roulette board; we can make an informative selection of where to place our bets.

Roulette Betting System

On the Roulette board, we will find two spaces where we can place our bets; inside and outside. Inside bets consists of numbers from one to thirty-six and outside bets consist of Odd and Even, 1st; 2nd and 3rd 12; zero and double zero – if you’re playing the American version of the game.

One thing to remember here is to never bet all your chips on one number. In inside bets, you can select 2 consecutive numbers to wager on; or you can select one number. If you want to choose three numbers at a time, you can bet on the consecutive horizontal numbers. Truth be told, your odds of winning here are slimmer than betting outside; although it pays higher.

Outside bets have smaller payouts but you have more chances of winning here or at least breaking even. Outside bets have special rules that apply to winning. These are Surrender and In Prison.

In both cases, you can either only lose fifty percent of your wager or you simply get it back if the ball goes to either zero or double zero.

We can find out more about how to bet in Roulette so we can have a better idea of what betting options to select before playing Roulette.

Where You Play Counts

When playing Roulette, where you play does matter; especially if you’re thinking of playing Roulette on the internet. One good thing to consider to land a good online casino is to check the site’s reputation.

If they have been providing excellent casino games, including online Roulette for a couple of years now and they have a good following; there’s a very big chance that the site’s not only legitimate; it also has a few perks that players are enjoying so they stay on.

If you’re considering playing Roulette, check if they have a free version of the game so you will know how they operate the game on their site; including betting and payouts. You can practice on their free Roulette first prior to signing-up so you will know what you’re getting yourself into.

Be sure also to check their Terms and Conditions prior to playing as our location sometimes determines whether we are eligible to play on their site or not. Finally, see their house advantage on online Roulette; particularly for each betting structure as sometimes these differ from site to site.
