Poker Stars has made some major changes to the prize pool guarantees in its online poker guaranteed tournaments in the way of hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize pool guarantee increases.

Play in Poker Stars’ guaranteed tournaments these days and you’ll see that the site has made some significant changes in the prize pool amounts, adding tens of thousands of dollars or more to the prize pools of individual events and sometimes even doubling (or nearly tripling) their guaranteed prize pools.

Just looking at the Sunday Majors alone sees $375,000 in added money to the day’s total guarantees, including an $85,000 increase over the $40,000 prize pool guarantee for the Sunday Supersonic tournament, now at $125,000.

The Saturday Line-up sees a $115,000 increase in the combined prize pools of a half-dozen major tournaments that day.

And then there’s the increase in the guarantees of the Daily Bigs, from the Big $3.30 all the way up to the Big $27.50, each featuring a guaranteed prize pool increased now by $1k to $50k, including the doubling of the $25,000 prize pool in the Big $22 and the $50,000 prize pool in the Big $109.

Pretty much all of Poker Stars guaranteed tournaments have had their prize pools bumped up several notches as of this change, not only the Sunday Majors, the Saturday Line-Up and the Daily Bigs.
