Smart Live Poker has now added two monthly $5,000 Points Races and one monthly $1,000 Freeroll tournament to its calendar.

At the end of last year, Smart Live Poker added $1,000 monthly freeroll tournaments to its regular calendar. As of January 2013, the site now also offers two $5,000 points races each month.

Earn you seat in each month’s $1K freeroll by earning just 250 poker points during the given month. The freeroll is then held at Smart Live Poker on the 8th day of the following month. So for earning 250 points in January, you’ll land a seat in the $1,000 monthly freeroll to be held on Feburary 8.

You can also take part in 2 monthly $5,000 Points Races. All it takes is 500 poker points earned in a race period to win a prize. The first race period is from 00:00 CET on the 1st of the month to 23:59 CET on the 15th of the month and the second race period is from 00:00 CET on the 16th of the month to 23:59 CET on the last day of the month.

Players receive 3.6 poker points for each $1 paid in rake or tourney fees. Keep in mind that points are added at the time that you leave the table, so be sure to get your points tallied by leaving the table you’re at when a race period ends.

Top prize in the $5K Points Races is $1,250, with $900 for second and $500 for third, all the way down to 9th through 15th, which get $50 each.
