Strategies to Avoid in Roulette

In cannot be denied that there are many strategies when it comes to the game of roulette, and these are strategies that many players are duped into believing as true because some swear by them. But if you look closely at these strategies, you will find that they are nothing but myths, and as such, they should be avoided if you want to keep your bankroll and increase it all the more.

So, what are these strategies to be avoided in roulette?

The Color of Green

One strategy that some roulette players make use of when it comes to playing roulette is to avoid betting on green. This is because many think that the green color signifies losing, but if you think about it, green is the color of money, so all the more reason not to avoid the color.

But if you look closely at it, the green color puts the money into the casino’s coffer, so in a way, there is some truth to not betting on the color green.

Random or Systematic?

Some strategys will tell you that there is a systematic way to a roulette and that it is not random at all. They will tell you that it is possible to predict the outcome of the game. What you have to know though is that roulette games are random. No one can really predict that the ball will next land on red or black, and no one can really tell if it will land on an even number or an odd number. Furthermore, there is no software that can help you get a 100% assurance that your bet will win. That is, unless you have found a way to rig the roulette, which is considered cheating and illegal.

One strategy that many employ is to avoid betting on a number that has already been won by another player. The rationale behind this is that it is very unlikely for this number to come up once more and win the bet of the player. This is utterly and completely false because roulette, as stated above, is a game of luck and chance, and it is random.

Another strategy that is also a myth is the sleeping numbers theory. Here, players will bet on a number that has not showed up for the past 37 spins, thinking that since it did appear during those spins, it is very likely that it will show up soon. Again, roulette games are random, so there is no reason to think that this strategy will work for you.

Games of Luck and Chance

Each and every time you play on a roulette, there is but one thing that you have to keep in mind – that roulette games are random and you will never be sure that your bet will win, particularly since this is a game of luck and chance.

The best thing that you can do is to study the odds and the different types of bets, and from there, choose the type of bet which will be very lucrative for you.
